01. Bilateral Authorization

Following in-depth technical reviews and architectural discussions during the GITEX AFRICA 2026 summit, LocaleNLP has secured official executive authorization from the Honourable Minister of Communications of the Republic of The Gambia and his delegation.

This synergy represents a critical milestone in our mission. It transitions our foundation models from enterprise APIs into sovereign digital infrastructure, authorized at the highest levels of national governance.

02. Phase 1 Linguistic Targets

The authorized pilot program will strictly focus on deploying high-fidelity NLP capabilities for two critical national languages, ensuring digital inclusivity for the broader population:

TARGET_01: Wolof
STATUS: ORAOX_DATA_SYNCING
Deployment of highly contextualized Speech-to-Text (ASR) pipelines to capture regional phonetic variations accurately.
TARGET_02: Mandinka
STATUS: MODEL_FINE_TUNING
Establishing bidirectional Machine Translation (MT) and audio synthesis to facilitate native-language public service delivery.

03. National iPortal Integration

The ultimate objective of this pilot is the architectural integration of LocaleNLP's infrastructure directly into the Gambian National e-Government iPortal.

  • Allowing citizens to interact with government services purely via voice in Mandinka and Wolof.
  • Bypassing literacy barriers to establish true, frictionless digital governance.
  • Executing all inference within secure, sovereign data boundaries to guarantee citizen privacy.
